Lucy is a native Nebraskan and a veteran of Omaha radio. She loves music and the relationship it has with her listeners. In fact, she loves people and getting to know her audience and what they experience. When not entertaining KGOR listeners during the day, she is helping Omahans navigate traffic on the Total Traffic Network as well as providing a counterpoint in the morning to Scott Voorhees’ show on KFAB. Lucy receives a $100 flat talent fee per week from Retire SMART.
Nationally acclaimed talk radio host Chris Baker has returned to the 2-6pm slot on NewsRadio 1110 KFAB. A touring comic, Chris started his radio career in Miami when his stand-up travels brought him to the Funny Bone in Omaha. “When I was a comic on the road, the Omaha Funny Bone was my favorite club to play because Omaha always had great audiences and great people,” Chris says. “When I was offered a radio gig here in 1996, I jumped at the opportunity.” Since introducing “Road Rage Relief” to Omaha in 1996 at a few different radio stations (including the 1997 championship season Husker network broadcasts and mornings on the beloved 101.9 The Edge), Chris went on to host shows in Kansas City, Minneapolis, and Houston is his home state of Texas. But when KFAB needed an afternoon host in 2013, he and his Omaha-native trophy wife were happy to “come home” and raise their three sons here. Chris hosted the afternoon show at KFAB until 2021. Now, he’s coming back “home” again, afternoons 2-6pm on NewsRadio 1110 KFAB. Chris receives a $125 flat talent fee per week from Retire SMART.
