A 10-year veteran in the financial industry, Paul also is a veteran of the U.S. military. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2014 and volunteered for the Airborne service, where he served six years as a paratrooper. He then pursued two other passions: he married his girlfriend, Alexis, and worked at large national banks for years after discovering a love for the financial industry.

Paul’s experience in the financial world made him a great fit for Retire SMART, where he says he loves his work because “I get to do something meaningful, for good people, on a daily basis.” He has obtained the requisite financial licenses and credentials, including a designation as a chartered retirement planning counselor (CRPC).

Paul and Alexis enjoy the outdoors, often hunting and fishing. They also welcomed their first child, Makenzie, in January of 2024. Paul also enjoys working on old cars in his garage during his free time on the weekends – as long as the Nebraska Cornhuskers or Kansas City Chief aren’t playing.

Paul was born and raised in Omaha, but he lives in Wahoo and is one of the anchors of Retire SMART’s Lincoln office.

Fun Fact: Paul is nearing completion of his first novel, a crime drama.
